Hello Natasha,
We had so many ferrets arrive at the shelter in
Miami that were in heat and many were given the HCG
INJECTION BUT IT DID NOT WORK! My advice would be to
have your ferret spayed as soon as you notice the
vulva start to swell, or do not wait for that to
happen! She can be spayed at 4 months of age, as she
can come into heat at that age.
I did not read what her age is at this time, but
if you haven't noticed any swelling yet, then now is
the time to get a vet who is familiar and comfortable
spaying a ferret, so you do not have to wait and put
her at risk, whilst you are looking---Angela.
