Dear Sky:
You will find that this is a wonderful group.
Ulcers are a very common and real problem, especially in older ferrets - and most of all, are life-threatening. Because we encounter them o often, we often get complacent about their treatment.
Can you refresh my memory about her current diet and the dosing of the Carafate. It is obvious that you are giving here a lot of TLC, but sometimes the right bland diet and the appropriate timing and dosage of Carafate can really help.
With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, DVM
