Hello,
Two of my ferrets have developed hair loss on the tips of their tails
and a little further up. This is the only place with hair loss. They
also have little black specks with scaly orange colored patches on the
tails as well.
I have heard that this may be what is called rat tail??
I have started using a mild cleanser on the tails called Cetaphill, is
this o.k and will it clear it up? Or would an acne based wash be more
effective? Is that safe?
If any one has any experience or advice on this matter, please let me
know. It would be greatly appreciated.
