Sinclair had surgery yesterday. Instead of an injury, it turned out to be a large tumor (sent to pathology) instead of an injury. It totally engulfed the ureter on his left side and had also gotten into some muscle. Doc removed the left kidney and ureter and hopefully got all of it.
He is doing well and will come home today. He is urinating on his own. His pre-op bloodwork showed good kidney function so we were praying that one kidney would do the job. It seems to be working. I know he is glad to be rid of that thing. I had taken him in 5 times over a 2 week period to be drained (abdominocentesis).
