Hi Rainbow,
Revolution is only approved for dogs and cats,
so Pfizer cannot recommend it for use on ferrets,
or rabbits, etc due to FDA rules. However Pfizer
did a small study with ferrets! It does work well
on ferrets, but it takes one tube of the cat (5-15lbs)
size Revolution per ferret. (It also works well for
ear mites in rabbits too.) For ear mites, you have to
treat all of the ferrets. I would also suggest washing
the bedding, hammocks, etc in the washing machine
with hot water. Revolution will also treat fleas, ticks,
and sarcoptic (skin) mites. Plus it prevents heartworms.
Four other products can be used for ear mites: Milbemite,
Acarexx, Ivomec, and Frontline spray.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
