I'm sorry to hear your guy is in such poor health! At a recent vet
appointment,with a very knowledgeable doctor, I learned something important
about nutrition and urine crystals. I doubt it will be helpful at this stage for
bruno, but for the future,the doc said that the amino acid, dl-methionine, is an
ingredient that is essential in the food to help prevent crystal formations in the
urine.
I just had to say goodbye to Mr.Gibbs on Friday. It was such a hard decision
but I knew it was the best things for him. He was around 6 1/2 years old and
had a variety of complications: tumor on his neck, crystals in his urine, and
insulinoma. I couldn't believe how fast he went down hill! I brought him home
for the other two to see that he was not going to be around anymore. The last
few days have been very hard without him. I am also feeling like I don't want to
own any new ferrets after these other two girls go. He took a piece of my
heart!-Stacy
