I have to agree with Sukie. Everyone I've heard describe that sound in their ferret has always ended up with a diagnosis of megaesophagus. Hopefully, Bandit will be something else.

There's no cure for this condition and the prognosis is not good. Carla's article that Sukie mentioned has some good pointers and she maintained a ferret for quite some time with this condition so there's always hope if this is what Bandit has.
