I will just comment on this part - I have had 2 ferrets in the shelter that=

had a complete urethrostomy - one because he was released to the shelter wi=

adrenals and completely blocked; the other because of prepucial adenocarcin=
oma. =

In both cases, the ferrets did extremely well - there were no secondary =

problems with the removal of the prostate/prepuce and rerouted urethra and =

cases the ferrets lived for more than a year...Ben the adrenal boy lived 3 =

years after the surgery, pain free. I would not hesitate to have this surge=

done again, *if* the ferret was a surgical candidate and do not hesitate to=

recommend it.
