My little Angel, 2 year old albino female, has a mass in her abdomen so had XS on August 6. It turns out to be a large lymph node with blood vessels that feed the intestines. So she was closed back up and has made a great recovery, except- soon afterwards she developed a soft stool and a very sore protuding anus. Vet says it is not truly prolapsed. She was on amoxi for two weeks and is off that now and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. She is now on pediapred .3 ml of 3mg/ml per day, dosed at .15 twice daily. It hasn't helped. That is really to help shrink the lymph node. She poops frequently when awake, making a tiny soft stool. But it is not diarrhea. Would adding some slippery elm bark to her food help? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.
