I have a quick question, How is distemper spread to a ferret? If I bring in a puppy who had a modified live virus distemper vaccine could my rescue ferrets who are not vaccinated yet get distemper from him? I am asking because we added a puppy a few weeks ago and have not had 3 ferts vaccinated yet and they are drinking from his bowl and have been around him. The thought crossed my mind when the vet I took Peanut to asked about vaccinations and distemper and I told him about the pup. Any answers would be appreciated...
