Julie,

For glucosamine, I'm giving half of a cat dose of Cosequin a day.
That works out to about 60mg of glucosamine and 50mg of chondroitin
per dose.

For carprofen, Digger was prescribed 1mg once or twice per day as
needed. Unfortunately, the best way I could get this was in a 25mg
tablet for dogs...

Carprofen is prescription-only, so she's going to have to check with
her vet on that one anyway. It is safe for ferrets (at least, it's
listed in the formularies in the ferret veterinary books), but it can
cause liver toxicity in some individuals, so that will have to be
checked if she ends up using it.

On the other hand, glucosamine is pretty benign as far as I've heard,
so there shouldn't be any harm in starting that. She can get that
from her vet, too, so there's a good excuse for a quick consult about
it anyway.

Good luck!
