Of the ferrets with symptoms like Chiclet's there are no survivors as far as I can find.
There HAVE been a bunch of descriptions which sound very different and ofthose I have heard of some survivors. Some of those got vitamin injections and epogen, some got a combo of Baytril, clindamycin and ketoprofen. These do NOT sound the same as what Chiclet had.
Even among those who sound the same the symptoms can happen with a range of bacterial things as long as they get severe enough to cause sepsis or celluitis.
If there is a survivor I'd like details, too, both to know what was done, and to know if the ferret's presentation and test results actually are similar.
The numbers of individuals involved has been small, there is NO evidence of contagion, but what Chiclet went through and died from was truly extreme in terms of level of illness.
