Hi, MOnique,
"Duck soup" refers to any high quality soft or liquid food for ferrets,
not necessarily something made from duck. The best known is Bob
Church's Chicken Gravy, which seems to have helped all our ferrets who
have gotten sick. The recipe is at:

If you use Pam Sessoms' pressure cooker method it is not hard to make.
I just did a batch last night and it takes about an hour and a half for
me from start to finish, including clean up.
