My friend's ferret was just diagnosed with lymphoma. I went through it a
year and a half ago with my 8 year old, and we treated her with pred. She
did well for 4 months before we put her down. I have read a bit about chemo,
but can't remember how the survival rates compared (of course by survival
rates, I mean how much time a ferret will have before succumbing).

I am trying to help my friend choose a therapy that will give her the best
and most time with her ferret. I'd appreciate it if people (vets and owners)
could let me know how the different lymphoma teatments stack up.

As well, when Newton was sick, I supplemented her with B12 and high fat
foods (whipping cream and egg yolk) to help her retain energy and slow the
weight loss, and had considered acupuncture. If anyone can let me know of
other suggestions to improve a sick ferret's attitude and energy, please let
me know as well.

Thank you!
Jen
