Actually it's bad for people too...think about it. It's used because it's an insecticide, it kills bugs. Would you want to breathe bug spray all the time? Cedar should be restricted to a specific closet or other closed container for long term storage of clothes.

And I do understand, I like the smell too, but it's toxic to humans and other animals.
