Proglycem is a useful drug for some ferrets. The thing to do when considering it is to run a trial with a small amount which you can get (cheaper, too, usually) from compounding pharmacies which are used to haivng drugs for ferrets in stock.

Many of those pharmacies DO ship.

You will find a wonderful list of such pharmacies in the Reference Shelf in the Files section at
http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/ferrethealth

Since some ferrets don't respond to Proglycem it pays to try a small batch first.

Important question: have you tried Prednisolone or only Prednisone? Some ferrets' livers don't process Prednisone well but then the ferrets do well with Prednisolone which skips the liver processing step.
