Although Creatinine is an indicator of renal function, it can be increased by
the use of certain medications, increase muscle breakdown related to stress or
age and tends to be lower in the morning than in the evening. Is she urinating
normally? Is her scent different from before? I don't know what normal
creatinine for ferrets is, but in humans it can go as high as 1.2 and still be
perfectly normal. Levels of over 4 make physicians start to worry. Since she
is older, this may be a normal variation. If you have a knowledgable vet, I
would trust his/her opinion. Good luck.
