Hello,
I wanted to add my two cents about getting the icky meds down without them spitting it back in your face!
What I do with meds is mix in some Pet Tinic. If the dose is 0.5ml of the med, I add in a little pet tinic to take away the bitterness of the med. Since the Pet Tinic is a supplement, my vet has Ok'd it to help get down the bad stuff :)
It works great b/c it is water soluable. If for some reason your gang doesn't like the pet tinic, you can use ferretone right in the syringe (plus some licks when they are done). That takes the edge off the bitter flagyl too :)
The only prob. w/ ferretone is that it is an oil and doesn't mix as well...but it's better than nothing !
Good luck !
Meg
Ps: Reminder, I am not a vet!! This was just what has worked for me and has been recommended by my vet.
