According to the owner, Harley's xray showed no issues with his spine, except for a hairline 'line' descending from the bottom of one of his vertebrae. It wouldn't be a crack, as it extended beyond the bone like a backwards comma. They wondered about a nerve? Would a 'spur' look like that?

It is located after the arch of his back and in front of his hips, with the 'line' going in the direction of his hips.

I have not yet seen the film, myself, but if anyone feels taking a look at it would help with a diagnosis, I'll see what I can do.

Harley's vet nor family is comfortable with doing anything too invasive. The Pred has not helped. She did not mention if she had been giving the Chondroitin and glucosamine or Rimadyl... and I forgot to ask.

Does anyone have a clue what might show up on an xray that would have that appearance?

Thanks,
Julie
