The other replies were correct. You want to look at a few different
things before diagnosing kidney failure. Get a creatinine, BUN, and
phosphorous and at the same time, get a urine sample to check the specific
gravity. Getting them all at about the same time will help make a proper
diagnosis. A creatinine of 1.0 isn't all that high, but it is a little
suspicious. There are some good posts in the archives - I did some
