I am not a vet. It has been explained to me that an enlarged spleen is
often caused by a cronic bacterial infection. Helicobacter is one
infection that will do it. I would prefer the more recent treatment for
helicobacter which is Amoxicillin, Biaxin and Carafate. The Biaxin is a
lot easier to give to a ferret than Flagyl and is more effective.
