Do male ferrets also get anemic, or is it just a female thing? Also, when a ferret has had a left adrenalectomy already and is showing signs of being adrenal (excessive urination, territory marking, balding, pot belly, etc) but the right looks and feels ok, do you remove the right anyway, or do you assume it is the ectopic tissue that is being affected? If it is the ectopic tissue, there is nothing that can be done about it as far as surgery goes? He has had two operations in the past three months, but both times the right gland looked ok and the surgeon could not see anything else abnormal in the abdomen. Is it Lupron time? Will Lupron keep him from getting a swollen prostate?
