Mr. peepers is about two years old. About two weeks ago he came down with =
a cold of some sort. I noticed that he vomited after we gave him his weekl=
y shower( which he hates). Soon after he stopped eating so we brought him =
into the vet. He had his blood, feces, and even xrays checked on him for a=
ny possible reason why he wasn't eating. Nothing. He would drink water al=
most normally but i noticed each time he seem to be in pain with his mouth =
and throat. The doctor suggested nutri-cal and duk soup. He hates the nut=
rical but will lick the duk soup off my finger, but right after he runs to =
the carpet and rubs his mouth over the carpet and makes some weird noises w=
ith his mouth like he is in pain. last night i gave him his meds and put h=
im to bed, luckly i went to check on him and found him laying on the floor =
of his cage staring blankly. i picked him up and he was limp. i put him o=
n the ground and he collapsed. My fiance freeking out called the emergency=
line and was told that he hadn't had enough food(which he hadn't eaten in =
a day or so). we gave him 10 ml of karo suryp which caused him to have a s=
ugar high, he was running around like nothing was wrong. I quickly put him=
back to bed for the night. He got up many times to drink alot of water. =
today i brought him back to the vet they gave him cortazone to see if it w=
ould reduce his inflamed throat. I brought him home a forced a couple ml o=
f food in him mouth which he reluctanlty ate. The vet seemed to think that=
he might have swallowed something but the xrays came up empty. He has suc=
h a "refined" tasted that i sdon't believe that he would have. If he doesn=
't start eating in a couple of days they want to operate on him although th=
ey say he is going down hill. I can't even tell you how hard this is on us=
. I kills me to see him in such pain and looking so skinny, and seeing him =
constantly being poked and injected with stuff. i don't know what else i c=
an do for him. =
