Subject: Pred and long Term affects
Message-ID: <008001c38883$7b54e380$55725244@wrauenz>

Are there any long term affects with using Pred to regular blood sugar
levels??? I have a rescue girl named Isabel. She crashed about a week
after arrival here. She started the Pred yesterday at 0.6. Last night she
had a minor set back.......but today, no crashing. So the meds seem to be
working right now. She also needs to put on weight. Her and her sisters
are very, very thin. I am hand feeding her baby food chicken and turkey.
As long as I am hand feeding her, she is fine (Spoiled.......Oh not her). I
know with humans Pred has some nasty side affects. I assume these side
affects would carry over to Ferrets, however, I have not had a ferret on
Pred until now. (Knock on wood).
