Ker Avon was like that. We started him on pred. He was spacing out so
I rushed him back into our backup vet since our main vet was out of town.
He was limp and out of it when we got there. His blood glucose was some
insanely low and impossible number but the vet got him stabilized and
increased his pred. He had surgery the next week and, thankfully, has
had no symptoms with no meds in a year and a half since then. We believe
he simply did not respond to pred.

All the best,
Caity and the non-stop nine
