Subject: Spacey behavior after insulinoma surgery
Message-ID: <2030518.1065193121056.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>
Was wondering if this is common. Koda is 6 or 7 years old (we took him in f=
rom another family so not sure of age) he had insulinoma surgery about 6 mo=
ago. In the last few days he has been showing the same symptoms he had bef=
ore the surgery. Is this common? Is it possible he needs another surgery? K=
oda had the same problem for the first few days after the surgery but our v=
et said it was common and not to worry unless it didn't stop after one week=
which it did but now the symptoms are back. Koda's symptoms are he digs an=
d digs and digs at a little bed he has or the bars of his cage and then he =
just kind of stares off in to space and his head wiggles back and forth jus=
t a little bit. If you pick him up he digs at your shoulder. If you put him=
back down he can't seem to keep his balance with his hind legs Koda was al=
so hurt by a dog before he lived with us so he already has a odd gait, so t=
he first few times it was hard to tell if he was just his normal self or if=
it was something else. He seems to only do this first thing in the mornin=
g not sure if that meens anything or not. If anyone has any ideas we would =
love to hear them
