Check me on this because it has been a while since we've dealt with ulcers and since I've read up on them.

I think that what you will find most commonly recommended in the past vet FHL posts at
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org
is a two step process:
1. Carafate to bandage the ulcer
2. After awhile add antibiotics.
Usually these days what is recommended is Biaxin and Amoxi both together if memory serves.
The old routine was Metronidiazole, Amoxi, and Pepto Bismol for the bismuth.
