My Peanut had an exploratory done last month and that was when it was disco=
vered she had an approx 2" diameter cyst growing on the liver....it was fil=
led with fluid which was drained and then the cyst was excised from the liv=
er....all reports show this was a benige cyst but it would of continued to =
grow had it not been removed....I was able to witness the surgery and would=
not have believed my vet on the size of the cyst...Peanut showed no sympto=
ms of having this problem...she went in to have an adrenal removed since sh=
e was showing very classic signs even though she had a bilateral early last=
year....and it was a very big surprise when this large cyst was located...=
Her blood work showed nothing out of the ordinary to indicate she was havin=
g any problems with the liver...Peanut is a very tiny ferret, approx 1.5 lb=
s and could not believe she had such a large cyst in that little body. She =
is doing very well other than now having Addison's which she is now on meds=
for....hope this help...
