Generally they don't bump into things unless they are non visual in both,
unless you notice it that it is always the same side he is bumping on. I'd
have his eyes checked, some ferrets of course get cataracts. Do you have a
veterinary ophthamologist near you? It might be worth a look. Good luck, in
the mantime keep him in familiar areas so if he is losing vision he can
learn to accomadate to the room.
