Hi Anna,
Well if he's running into things it very well could be that something is wrong with that eye. I would take him for a visit with the vet. and see what he thinks.
And if he is just remember to keep him in a safe room to play and don't move the furniture around. That way he'll know where everything is and will be less likely to keep bumping into things.
I had a very old little girl 2 yrs. ago that went blind and she got accustomed to it after awhile. She also bumped into things, but after awhile not so as she used to. I noticed that she would stay close to walls when she was wondering around. Does your boy do that too?
I also would talk to her before I reached down to get her so she would know I was there and wouldn't be startled at first.
Good luck with your boy and do take him in to have his eyes checked, that way you'll know for sure. Jeanne

Hi every one,How can you tell when a ferret is going blind in 1 eye? I have
a 6 (?)yr old Sable boy that has been running into stuff and into me I just
kind of noticed that his right eye has a little funny looking spot in it and
the other one don't. That same eye has watered a couple of times since I've
had him. What should I be looking for? keeping an eye on? Your help is
greatly needed. Thank you Anna and Sebastian
