I don't know what dose levels in mgs you are giving (how much room there is for possible increase since ferrets are not prone to many of the side effects of steroids seen in so many other species -- see past vet posts, especially those of Dr. Bruce Williams), and can't recall what other considerations were impacting on medication choices, but when meds for insulinoma get maxed out try adding dietary sugars. Sometimes it gives extra quality time. The best response we've had to that was an extra 3 good months.
