I discussed this very question with my vet when I first started feeding
chicken gravy as their primary food. He agreed that it was possible they might
need their teeth cleaned more often than they would with hard kibble, but said
the little bit of kibble they do eat would help with that. He also said that the
benefit to them of feeding primarily chicken, as obligate carnivores, outweighs
any possible increased teeth cleaning that may be necessary. He feels the
carbohydrates in the kibble contribute to high rates of insulinoma.
