We had a little insulinomic boy who tolerated 10mg of Prednisone a day for 16
months. He had several other problems, 3rd degree heart block being one,
and
passed away in September. Fortunately, we never had any side effects from the
Pred. I crushed the 5mg tablet and gave it to him in food 2x a day.

He was also taking two heart meds, Propecia, got Lupron shots and had to
have large Baytril doses for several of those months. A couple times I thought
he
was starting to have upset stomachs because of slight teeth grinding so gave
him Carafate as directed. It did help but I think now that it was probably his
really bad teeth that were causing this.
