You probably just missed it and Mike's reply:

A ferret who has had ECE will have an immunity to it afterwards.
As far as discussing specific breeders go, that is something people will have to discuss with you privately since discussing specifc breeders is against FHL rules, but folks certainly can select your name instead of the reply arrow at the website or can cut and paste your name if replying after reading sent mails.
Remember that due to the length of time ECE is contagious that if it is ECE your new kit will be able to infect any new additions who haven't been exposed unless we aretalking about a time which is over 8 months,
When adding a new kit it is always wise to have a vet appointment before they are put together, and to have a fecal test run for other contagious things like coccidia which can come home at times with kits.
That won't help in relation to ECE, and not much will help in relation to ECE because the animals remain contagious for around 6 to 8 months as Dr. Williams has said:
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG6289
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG6286
and in other posts in
http://www.sonic-weasel.org
You can also find an excellent write up on ECE at
http://www.afip.org/ferrets/index.html , specifically at
http://www.afip.org/ferrets/ECE/ECE.html
Again, a reminder: discussions of specific breeders is not done on-list, so, please, answer that part of this post privately.
