I apologise for missing an essential part of your post. The remaining ferret is an adult now and it sounds like this happened 3 years ago. If that is correct then certainly the remaining ferret is not contagious any longer so he woulnd not endanger a new arrival for ECE. If it was ECE when he first arrived then he has an immunity from past exposure so a new arrival would not endanger him from ECE. Sorry. Hope that and the links help you!
