Just to be on the safe side get a CBC and chemistry panel. Stool check for
parasites. Recently my 2.5 year old had a bad bought of diarrhea and weight
loss, and blood tests showed diabetes. Only other sign was eating large
amounts of food. Diabetes is so rare, that it is unlikely this. In fact she may
have some form of Inflammatory Bowel Disesase, which can happen post ECE,
but I learned not to take things for granted and when they don't respond as
expected to treatment to go ahead and investigate things further with labs/x-
rays, etc.

You can also try her on a food with little chicken in it, or if she is on a corn
based cat food try her on one with rice.

Darcy is a 4.5 year old dark eyed white female.. About 6 months ago, her
appetite declined and she got progressively worse diarhea. After trying several
options, my vet decided it was ECE ( but the diarhea persisted....vet suggested
an "opportunistic infection" and treated with amoxycylin(sp). the diareah
cleared up immediately. diareah slowly came back and weight loss, treated with
amoxycylin again and cleared up. The other half of the problem is her eating
habbits...she doesn't like anything except cheap dry catfood or babyfood.
