My vet and I are researching it, as Bandit's biopsy came back with an IBD diagnosis as with Gadget and Skittles, from an outbreak of ECE many years ago. Right now, they have been prescribed 7 to 10 days of Amoxicillin 2x a day and pepto bismol 2 x a day. Are there meds after the initial antibiotics that can help strong cases of IBD such as Skittles and Gadget that are constantly on and off dexamethesone during flare ups? Are there any other drugs being used that we might have missed?

I'm giving Clyde 0.1 ml (0.1 mg) of pediapred twice a day and it seems
to be all he needs. This is for 4 weeks, but if he relapses when I take
him off of it I'll put him back on it for life. For the first few days I
also gave him 0.5ml of liquid loperamide. As soon as he stopped the
runs, I stoped that. I wouldn't give Pepto to a ferret of mine. They
hate it and it stresses them to have it forced on them.
