Hello- I will try to help answer your query-
first of all IF the male you received was intact (not neutered) you would
knows as he would :
1) have testicles
2) be rather aggressive
3) smell very strongly
4) be marking all over the hose like a tom cat
If this is not the case I doubt that your ferret is pregnant.
Where did the gal come from a petstore? If so which one and when?
The recent weight gain in the female may be:
1) usual winter weight
2: an enlarged spleen due to helicobacter or other chronic low grade infection
3) an intesinal or gastric problem
A few questions on the female you seem concerned about:
10 How old?
2) is appetite healthy?
3) are stools normal?
4) what is the activity level of this animal?
