Rule out foreign body in throat (either trachea or esophagus, rule out
neoplasia (cancer), If it is truly pneumonia DO NOT SUPRESS the cough at
all, you want him to cough that stuff up, you can use nebulization with
either just saline ore your vet can make up a solution to use. This methid
gets moisture down into the lungs and if useing a medication solution can
get medication tight into the lungs, Rule out cardiac diseases, etc. YOU
MUST FIND OUT IT YOU ARE TREATING IT CORRECTLY! Did he have a fever? Good
Luck!!!!!!!!!!
