Hi,
I posted awhile back-- but did not receive any responses
My husband and I are considering getting a new ferret- I recently
had to say good-bye to my baby "Bandit"- and miss him terribly
i really can't discuss it because it's still too painful-- but we put him
to sleep cause his insulinoma had gotten the best of him and he
was having seizures around the clock and on top of that was
having a hard time breathing because of water in his lungs.
We loved that little guy more then anything...and he could never
be replaced, but, our his little brother Fiefal misses him too...and
misses his playmate-- my husband is reluctant to get another one
because we went through so much with Bandit--ECE, Adrenal Disease,
Insulinoma, and Water in his lungs...i'm working on convincing him now..
Is it true that most ferrets will fall prey to these diseases?? anyway of
avoiding them?? are they more likely to come from [Name removed by
moderator as per the rules] ferrets
where they breed the ferrets at too young of an age??
When we got Feifal-- Bandit became very ill with ECE-- how do you prevent
this from happening when introducing a new ferret -- what precautions can
you
take-- anyway of detecting if the ferret your going to purchase has ECE??
