My soon to be two-year-old ferret, Gambit, has always been very active and =
playful. In the past couple of days (today included), however, Gambit is ac=
ting out of his ordinary self: he doesn't seem to be eating a lot; he doesn=
't drink water from his water bottle and then seems to fill himself up with=
water from my cat's water bowl; he seems to be sleeping much more than usu=
al, even when I let him out of his cage; he isn't interesting in playing, n=
o matter how much I encourage him; he even seems to be very weak, and today=
he was unable to stand on his back legs to reach for a raisin treat. I'm b=
eginning to get very worried about him, even though this has only been goin=
g on for two days. I was wondering if anybody would be able to give me an i=
nsight of what he might have, considering the behavior I just described. Al=
so, the day before yesterday, Gambit accompanied me to the County's Health =
Department, where they were administrating vaccines for the flu; I have no =
idea if this might have anything to do with his behavior, but that was the =
last day that he was acting "normal". Should I take him to the vet rightawa=
y? Could he have the flu? Please, help!
