I do see your point, but just to clarify. The melatonin implants are just injected under the skin, like how the tagging is done for the
microchipping. The large bore needle used may require the skin to be closed, but other than that it is not necessary to subject the ferret to surgery.

administer 1 mg of Melatonin mixed with either Nutrical or Ferretone about 8

rather then a terrible experience it becomes a daily treat plus it ensures
your pet will interact with you.
