We have been utilizing wood pellets at our facility for over 6 years with
great success. I would suggest that you purchase wood pellets specifically
produced for wood stove ( pellet stove ) burning. Many pet litter companies
utilize softer wood sawdust and some also combine additives which can be
serious if young ferrets ingest the product.
These pellets for stove burning are made form hard wood sawdust and water
with NO additives. It is the additives you want to stay away form largely.
Best wishes..
