Subject: Swollen area on right side of tummy-What is it?

I just noticed that my three year old ferret, Louie, has a large, swollen area on his lower right side. He is my first ferret, so I'm not sure what this could be. He is as active and playful as ever and eating and drinking normally. I plan on getting him to the vet ASAP, but am wondering if anyone can tell me what this could be.
