>Patty-

I have forwarded to your personal email addy- contact info for a NH vet who
has managed several cases of diabetes with good success utilizing a
specific brand insulin..

I did not want to publicize the info on list due to preferences of not
mentioning vet names etc.
Please contact him- or have your vet confer-- best wishes!
Good luck!

[Moderator's note: Alicia, if there is a research paper this vet has or other such
presentations those could be mentioned (as has happened in the past with
other vets and treatments), or you could give details of the treatment such as
the type of insulin used and so on.]

I think, possibly, we're making people gunshy about posting useful information. The rule on this topic is...

"When questioning a particular course of treatment, or asking about something your vet has suggested, do not mention the vet or the clinic by name, just the specifics of the treatment."

This was put in place because we didn't want vets that participate here to hesitate to comment because it may be in disagreement with a specific vet's diagnosis/treatment in a specific case.

This rule doesn't say one can never mention a vet's name under any circumstances. General information that could help many, even if it includes a vet's name that has developed a successful protocol, is more than welcome.
