Although I can't recall a post on your specific question I went through
the Complete Archives to find some posts which may be useful for you in
general. This is by no means a complete list.
Those here with a long breeding history will know a great deal to help
you.
There also are breeding list sites and genetics list sites with
archives as well which give multiple opinions and rebuttals, and there
are private sites giving advice from specific breeders .

I know that this is nowhere near a complete list of the existing posts
of the topic, and that the FHL Archives COULD use more info on
breeding, nursing and infant medical issues. Many breeding health
problems and how to tackle them are covered very sparcely or not at
all, so I hope that you get a number of replies from those who know the
topic, so that the information is handy when a person needs it.
