PSA- prostate specific Antigen, is a tumor marker good
screener for prostate cancer. I don't think it will
help in ferrets because what they have is more like
BPH in males ( benign prostate hypertrophy) and
is not from a tumor. Since PSA is not useful with BPH
I would assume the same to be true in ferrets.
Maybe an ultrasound could determine the size of the prostate,
although this would get costly if someone wanted to
do routine screenings on their adrenal ferret.
