The book _Biology and Diseases of the Ferret_ second edition, editor Fox (Dept head of the Division of Comparative Med at MIT) is excellent for such information. Both the nutrition and infection sections have info you should find useful.
Amazon.com claims to have both new and used copies available of the second edition, as may other places though it tends to usually be hard to find which is why I figured I'd try there because I know they do sell some used books so I figured that if I couldn't find it there it would be pretty impossible to find. You are in luck, though.
