Ferrets who do not have working adrenals, either due to losing both or due to having one removed but the other atrophied, have problems with fluid management and with electrolyte balance. The meds used are Percorten or Florinef plus Prednisolone or an alternative steroid.

There is a great deal about adrenal disease and ferrets in the archives at

Besides searching under adrenal you may want to search under the meds mentioned above, dysuria, Propecia, Proscar, melatonin, Lupron, ligation, and other words which are less commonly used but attached to a great deal of info. By looking to your left on the page when it brings up posts you will be able to notice who the authors are.
