Hi John,
If only 1 gland is removed there is usually no
need for post-op medications (except amoxicillin).
If the ferret is lethargic and anorexic then pred can be
used for 5-7 days.
Now if both glands are completely removed then post-op
treatment will be needed. You can use either Florinef or
Percorten and Pred to treat for Addison's disease. Also
use 0.9% NACL for fluid therapy (IV, or SQ).
